Time to try it out

After you have uploaded your web pages you should check to make sure you have referenced everything correctly.  Open a new browser window and type your web address into the address line.  This should take you to your site.  If it does not then it is likely you did not upload any pages with the correct name for the home page (default or index).  If you do get your home page, then spend a few moments checking that any links that you have changed go to the correct page.  Look over your pages and see if any of the pages you have changed have missing photographs.  If you find missing photographs, look back in the ftp window and check that the photos are there, if they are then the reference to the image in your page will need to be corrected.

Once you have made any necessary corrections you can close both the ftp window and the regular browser window as you have successfully updated your web page.
